5 week wheel Beginners throwing course
October 17 - November 14th 2024

Have you ever wanted to try making things out of clay on a potters wheel? This is the class for you, no experience is required. You'll get your hands into clay, learning the basics of wedging and slab work. You'll work on a potter wheel, first lerning to center the clay, then making basic forms.
Over the 5 classes you'll make basic functional ware like cups, bowls and vases which you can bring home. You'll work with our instructor to learn different trimming and glazing techniques. All of the work will be fired in our kilns and are food and dishwasher safe.
The class meets Thursdays for 5 weeks, 9:30 am - 11:30 with an additional 6 hours of open studio time available for practicing. Clay and tools are provided. We have aprons but suggest you bring your own.
The cost to fire several coffee cup size work is included, additional/larger pieces will be charged a firing fee.
$100 deposit required to hold a spot classes sell out and are limited to 8 people

Private Classes
Available upon request.
Private classes are an easy way to quickly immerse yourself in working with all aspects of clay. Our classes include a demonstration and a lot of individual attention, either on the wheel throwing or hand building. The classes are 1 1/2 hrs and include all materials. For additional fee, you can choose a glaze and will fire finished work to be picked up 4-5 weeks after. 1 person $75 / 2 people $125
Parties and Events
For groups of 3-8 people. Guests learn to handbuild, while taking turns learning the basics of wheel throwing (centering, opening, pulling). For additional fee, you can choose a glaze and we will fire finished work to be picked up 4-5 weeks after.
